Sumitomo Synergy Pro Ant Bait Hydramethylnon Pyriproxyfen
Group 7C | 20A Insecticide
Synergy Pro Ant Bait has the active ingredients Hydramethylnon 3.65g/kg & Pyriproxyfen 2.5g/kg. This product is a versatile granular ant bait approved and designed for both indoor and outdoor use in a range of situations including Gardens, Lawns, Parks, Nurseries, Public service areas, Golf courses, Commercial, industrial, and domestic premises.
By combining two distinct food granules, it effectively attracts a wide range of ant species throughout the year. The dual-active ingredients, Hydramethylnon and Pyriproxyfen, ensure comprehensive control by targeting all stages of the ant colony, from workers to queens, leading to full colony elimination.
Synergy Pro offers control over a variety of ants, including those that prefer sugar, protein, or oil-based diets. It remains attractive to ants even as their feeding preferences shift with the seasons. Initial reductions in ant populations are typically seen within weeks (Hydramethylnon), with complete colony control achieved in approximately two months (Pyriproxyfen).
Key Features:
Synergy Pro Ant Bait is an advanced ant control solution with a unique granular formulation that includes:
- Two food granules to ensure broad-spectrum control across all seasons.
- Two active ingredients targeting both worker ants and reproductive ants, leading to total colony eradication.
- Hydramethylnon targets worker ants, while Pyriproxyfen disrupts the queen’s reproductive cycle.
- Easy-flow granular formulation allows for smooth application without clogging.
- The 500g shaker pack offers dual functionality for both broadcast treatments and targeted applications.
-
Available in 200g, 500g, 4kg and 10kgpacks (the 4kg bucket contains 4 x 1kg sealed packs / the 10kg pack contains 10 x 1kg sealed packs).
Important: To maintain efficacy, the bait should be used within three months of opening the container due to the perishable nature of the food granules.

Why use Synergy Pro Ant Bait?
For full colony control, bait must reach and eliminate the queen. Some baits work too quickly, causing ants to stop feeding before the bait reaches the queen, while other formulations are rejected by the queen due to her sensitivity to specific ingredients. This can result in a misleading initial reduction in worker ants, but the colony quickly rebounds because the queen continues to reproduce.
Synergy Pro addresses this by utilizing both Hydramethylnon and Pyriproxyfen in combination. This dual-action formula ensures the bait is distributed throughout the colony, with Pyriproxyfen specifically targeting the queen to stop reproduction and ensure lasting control.
Why does Synergy Pro use two different food granules?
Ant species can change their dietary needs throughout the year, requiring both protein and sugar to sustain their colonies. Most ant baits only contain one food type, forcing pest control professionals to carry multiple products to meet these changing needs.
Synergy Pro simplifies this by offering two different food granules, allowing it to attract a wide range of ant species, regardless of their current food preference. This makes it an efficient, all-in-one solution for pest control professionals.
