Indigo Renegade 800 WG Herbicide. Bromacil
Group 5 Herbicide
ProForce Renegade 800WG is a preemergent soil residual herbicide that can be used for extended control of both grass and broadleaf weeds in industrial areas, commercial areas and rights-of-way situations. Renegade is particularly strong on grass weed species. The product contains 800g/kg Bromacil and is ideal for use where control of hard-to-kill and
resistant weeds are present. ProForce Renegade 800WG is highly compatible with non-selective knockdown herbicides allowing immediate control of existing weeds.
Once in the soil, ProForce Renegade 800WG acts to control germinating weeds for up to 12 months reducing the need for multiple herbicide applications.
Key Features:
- Wettable Granule formulation of Bromacil. Easier to use and measure when compared to wettable powder formulations.
- Non-Scheduled chemical. Reduced concerns around mixing, application and re-entry into treated areas.
- Ideal herbicide resistance management option. Useful rotational tool.
- Member of the Group 5 Uracil herbicide subgroup.
- Highly compatible with key knockdown herbicides. Mixes readily with all non-selective herbicides for one pass control of emerged and non-emerged weeds.
- Available in multiple pack sizes (2kg and 5kg) to best suit the job and storage requirements available.
Maximising Performance:
- To maximise long term residual performance, target bare soil ensuring, good even coverage. When weeds are already present, ProForce Renegade 800WG should be
applied in combination with a non-selective knockdown herbicide e.g. Rapid Fire (glyphosate), glufosinate or paraquat and a suitable surfactant. Apply within 10
weeks of germination of winter weeds – usually in June to August. Long term residual control may not be as effective where heavy organic matter loads prevent Renegade from reaching the soil and the root zone. Best results will be achieved where rain occurs within a week of application.
- Retreat as weeds begin to reappear on sites where growth has been controlled.
- Use lower rates on lighter soils low in clay or organic matter and higher rates on heavier soils high in clay or organic matter.
-
Large areas: Use a fixed boom sprayer or handgun. To prevent nozzle blockage, strainer and nozzle screens should be 50 mesh or coarser. Always agitate in spray
tank to keep material in suspension.
-
Fixed Boom Sprayer: Use 1000-2000 L/ha water for industrial weed control. For selective weed control use 250-450 L/ha at 200-300 kPa pressure.
-
Handgun: Use 1000-2000 L/ha and 60-800 kPa pressure.
-
Small areas: Use a knapsack or pressurised hand sprayer or water can. Shake or stir frequently.
- Don’t apply or drain or flush equipment on or near desirable trees or other plants or where their roots may extend.
- Don’t spray under weather conditions or from sprayer equipment that may cause spray to drift.
- Leave a 50m buffer zone between spray and nearest trees.
- Complete coverage of weed is required for maximum knockdown effect.
PRODUCT LABEL SUMMARY
REFER TO THE LABEL FOR THE COMPLETED DIRECTIONS FOR USE ----------
RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT allow spray to contact foliage or fruit of desirable plants. For best results sufficient moisture, either by rainfall or irrigation, is required within 3-4 days of treatment to carry the product into the soil.
SPRAY DRIFT RESTRAINTS
Specific definitions for terms used in this section of the label can be found at apvma.gov.au/spraydrift DO NOT allow bystanders to come into contact with the spray cloud. DO NOT apply in a manner that may cause an unacceptable impact to native vegetation, agricultural crops, landscaped gardens and aquaculture production, or cause contamination of plant or livestock commodities, outside the application site from spray drift. Wherever possible, correctly use application equipment designed to reduce spray drift and apply when the wind direction is away from these sensitive areas. DO NOT apply unless the wind speed is between 3 and 20 kilometres per hour at the application site during the time of application. DO NOT apply if there are any hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions present at the application site during the time of application. Surface temperature inversion conditions exist most evenings 1 to 2 hours before sunset and persist until 1 to 2 hours after sunrise.
NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION
WITHHOLDING PERIODS:
NOT REQUIRED WHEN USED AS DIRECTED
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
For best results apply shortly before weed growth occurs to moist well-prepared trash and clod free soil. Well established weeds should be removed before applying the product. Actively growing weeds up to about 10 cm in height may be controlled, but a wetting agent must be used. DO NOT cultivate soil surface after application as efficacy may be reduced and/or crop injury may result. For best results sufficient moisture, either by rainfall or irrigation, is required within 3-4 days of treatment to carry the product into the soil. With irrigation thoroughly wet the entire area. Where rainfall is limited during the growth period, control of deep-rooted hard-to-kill weeds will not be satisfactory.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATION
Fill spray tank no more than 50% full with clean water. Before adding RENEGADE 800 WG begin agitating vigorously and continue agitation during the entire mixing and spraying operation. Pour required amount of product steadily into the spray tank. Allow vigorous bypass agitation to completely disperse product. DO NOT dump product into spray tank all at once. After adding required quantity of product and obtaining complete dispersion, continue to fill tank to desired level for spraying. Thorough agitation of the spray liquid should continue during the entire spraying operation. Spray solution should not be left standing in the tank overnight.
Large areas
Use a fixed boom sprayer or handgun. To prevent nozzle blockage, strainer and nozzle screens should be 50 mesh or coarser. Always agitate in spray tank to keep material in suspension. (a) Fixed Boom Sprayer Use 1000-2000 L/ha water for industrial weed control. For selective weed control use 250-450 L/ha at 200-300 kPa pressure. (b) Handgun Use 1000-2000 L/ha and 60-800 kPa pressure.
Small areas
Use a knapsack or pressurised hand sprayer or water can. Shake or stir frequently.
SPRAYER CLEANUP
Thoroughly clean all traces of RENEGADE 800 WG from application equipment immediately after use. Flush tank, pump, hoses and boom with several changes of water after removing spray nozzles and screen (clean these parts separately).
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
GROUP 5 HERBICIDE
ProForce RENEGADE 800 WG Herbicide is a member of the Uracils group of herbicides. RENEGADE 800 WG has the inhibitors of photosynthesis at photosystem II mode of action. For weed resistance management RENEGADE 800 WG is a Group 5 herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to RENEGADE 800 WG and other Group 5 herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by RENEGADE 800 WG or other Group 5 herbicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Indigo Specialty Products Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of this product to control resistant weeds. Advice as to strategies and alternative treatments that can be used should be obtained from your local supplier, consultant, local Department of Agriculture, Primary Industries Department or an Indigo Specialty Products representative.
